Currently my company is working with an apps for writing essay using unity. And we are searching for text input plugin for text input and I found this plugin. My question is:
1) this plugin need NGUI to install first. Is it the NGUI that sell in asset store for $95 (current version 3.11.1), can I use other version of NGUI, for example this https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/ngui-free-edition.124032/ (version NGUI 2.7.0)
2) Can I save the text after input into my database (SQLite)? for example I use this text input and type an essay then press save, and the content save into database. (or I need to create a text area for input first, then type and save the text inside the text area into my database?)
3) is this text input only usable in android phone? how about IOS?

1. I’m sorry but NGUI version 3.5.4 or higher required
2. Yes! You can modify message handling code and I guess it’s not quite difficult for you.
3. Yes, it’s only for android. But Unity’s softKeyboard for iOS is better than android. I heard ‘hideInput’, ‘screenSize’ are working good on iOS.
